Daily Meals Helpmeet

The packaging was designed as a three-meal system combining breakfast, lunch and dinner within one convenient pack. The outer structure uses CCKB (Clay-Coated Kraft Back), selected for its strength, printability and ability to improve product protection, contributing to an increase in shelf life from 3 months to 12 months under tropical conditions. A die-cut handle improves portability, while the natural kraft surface and African-inspired graphics give the pack a distinctive cultural identity. Sustainability was considered with the concept supporting Reuse and Recycle: the paperboard outer pack is recyclable, while the incorporated drawstring fabric bag is designed for continued use after the food products have been consumed. The concept received recognition through the World Packaging Organisation Student Awards and Gold Pack Student Awards.
